Project Management 101

Project Management 101 is an activity-based one-day program that provides the learner with foundation project management principles and an understanding of important terminology.  It is designed to cover both the technical aspects (how you plan for and execute the project) as well as the behavioral aspects (how you manage the people) of project management. This program is equally applicable to project managers and project team members who work for project managers.

Upon completion of this course, each participant should be able to:

  • Understand and apply Project Management terms and concepts.
  • Understand the four distinct phases of a Project and why each is critical to the project’s success.
  • Understand how you initiate and manage the Project Plan and the Project Team.
  • Be able to apply these principles to a specific Project you may be involved with at work.

Accounting in Cannabis Workshop

In this one-day workshop, you will learn the “nuts and bolts” of cannabis accounting and tax from the origins of this specialty industry, the IRS, and its impact on accounting, auditing, valuation, and what you need to know before expanding your cannabis business. Learn best practices in dispensary accounting from the ground up.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn the history of the cannabis industry and its current status.
  • Understand the unique needs of the industry.
  • Learn the legal and tax implications of the cannabis industry.
  • Touch on auditing and valuation for the cannabis business.
  • Be provided tips and other resources for your business.

Pre-Requisite: Participants will need to have a foundational understanding of general accounting practices, financial statements, and business organization structure.
